FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Why don’t you have a full payment link on your website?
The Sacred Interruption Pilgrimage is not for everyone. We like to talk with you before you register so there can be an informed decision as to whether this is right for you. Plus, with that brief conversation, we get to start to connect with you!Are food and lodging included?
Yes! All food, lodging, snacks, taxes, and fees are included. **Transportation to and from the ranch is not included. What airport should I fly into?
The short answer is: Colorado Springs (COS), which is about a 2-hour drive to the ranch, or Denver International Airport (DEN), which is about a 3-hour drive. For more details on transportation, here’s a link to directions on the Ranch’s website: Badger Creek Ranch Directions. Travel to/from the ranch is part of the essence of the pilgrimage… we can chat with you more about this if you’d like.
What is your refund policy?
Our refund policy takes into account the unique nature of this event. Please click here for the full terms. What time should I arrive on Thursday? And what time will we end on Sunday?
The start and end times may change, but the current plan is for you to arrive between 1p-1:45p for a start of 2pm local time. We will be finished no later than 5pm on Sunday. Please plan to be there for the whole time. What can I expect during the weekend?
The Pilgrimage is designed to be a blend of reflection, connection, and exploration. You’ll experience a balance of structured activities and spacious time to connect with the land, the horses, yourself, and each other. Each moment is intentionally crafted to support your journey inward while being held by the beauty and “holiness” of the natural surroundings. Is this event appropriate for beginners or those new to spiritual or self-reflective work?
Absolutely. The Pilgrimage is designed to meet each participant where they are on their journey. Whether this is your first step into this kind of work or you’ve been exploring these paths for years, you are welcome. Can I bring a friend/partner to share the experience?
While we encourage sharing the journey with others in your life, the Pilgrimage is a deeply personal experience. We recommend discussing this with your friend/partner and with us during your registration call. What kind of group size can I expect?
The Pilgrimage is intentionally designed for a small group to ensure an intimate and personalized experience. This one is limited to 10 people that identify as women. Will we ride horses?
We will have the opportunity to interact with the horses in meaningful ways, but it’s unlikely that we will ride them. Our connection with the horses is less about physical riding and more about attuning to their energy, presence, and wisdom. Of course, this is subject to change based on intuition and the needs of the group.
How much physical effort will this be?
The pilgrimage will involve walking on the land, which can be uneven in places. While this requires some physical effort, nothing will be rushed. Our pace is gentle and adaptive to ensure everyone can participate comfortably (sometimes with a stretch…it is a pilgrimage, afterall). If you have specific concerns about mobility, we’d like to discuss accommodation possibilities.
Why is it called a pilgrimage and not a retreat?
A pilgrimage is a journey with intention—one that begins the moment you say yes. Unlike a retreat, which often suggests stepping away from life to rest, a pilgrimage is about stepping into something deeper. It’s a conscious journey, both inward and outward, that invites transformation through connection with the land, the horses, and the shared experience of the group. Every aspect of this weekend is designed to reflect the sacred nature of that journey.
Is there Wi-Fi or cell service at the Ranch?
The Ranch is intentionally off the beaten path, and connectivity may be limited. This is an opportunity to unplug and immerse yourself fully in the experience. We recommend letting loved ones know you may not be easily reachable during the weekend. We will provide you with an emergency contact number. What’s the lodging like?
All lodging options at the Ranch are clean, rustic, and very comfortable. You’ll be surrounded by simple yet welcoming spaces that reflect the beauty and authenticity of the environment. The accommodations are designed to support rest and renewal, offering you a cozy place to land after your day’s experiences.
How do you hold the unique perspectives & experiences of individuals from diverse backgrounds?
We are committed to creating a space that honors and embraces the diverse perspectives and experiences of every participant’s journey of self-discovery and healing, regardless of background, race, gender, ethnicity, age, etc. Please reach out if you’d like to discuss more about this particular topic. Can I just show up?
No. Pre-registration and a call with one of the facilitators is required. This event is not for everyone, so we want to make sure this is a good fit for you before you register. How should I pack?
